Terms of Service for the Learn Prompting, VOICE, and AI Competition

Please carefully read the following Terms of Service ("TOS" or "Agreement") before registering for or participating in the Learn Prompting, VOICE, and AI Competition (hereinafter referred to as "the Competition"). By registering for or participating in the Competition, you are signifying your unequivocal acceptance of and agreement to abide by these TOS. If you do not agree with any portion of these TOS, you are hereby advised not to participate in the Competition.

  1. Eligibility Criteria

    The Competition is open to individuals who fulfill the specific eligibility criteria as delineated in the official rules and regulations of the Competition. All participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. All participants must be attendees of the VOICE and AI 2023 conference.

  2. Account Integrity and Usage

    Individuals and Organizations (inclusive of companies, teams, associations, and other collective entities) may register and use only one account to participate in the Competition. Any attempts to create multiple accounts or to employ any other unjust means for gaining a competitive advantage are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.

  3. Rules Violation and Disqualification

    Any violation of these TOS or other rules set forth by the Competition may lead to disqualification. Participants disqualified under this clause will not be eligible for any awards, prizes, or other recognitions associated with the Competition.

  4. Liability Limitations

    By entering the Competition, participants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the organizers from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Competition.

  5. Decisions by Organizers

    All decisions pertaining to eligibility, disqualification, or any other matters related to the Competition shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the organizers. All such decisions are final and binding and are not subject to appeal or review.

  6. Privacy and Data Usage

    By participating in the Competition, you hereby consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal information in accordance with the organizers' privacy policy.

  7. Intellectual Property Rights

    Participants shall retain all rights to any intellectual property created during the course of the Competition. Notwithstanding this ownership, participants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to utilize, display, and disseminate their submissions for the purposes of promotion, publication, and education.

  8. Amendments to the TOS

    The organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to amend, modify, or alter these TOS at any time. Continued participation in the Competition after any such changes signifies your acceptance of the revised TOS.

  9. Governing Law

    This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Competition is hosted, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

  11. Code of Conduct

    Participants are required to adhere to a specified Code of Conduct, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unethical behavior may result in disqualification from the Competition.

  12. Prizes and Recognition

    The total value of prizes to be distributed in the Competition is $30,000. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted.

  13. Termination and Cancellation

    The organizers reserve the right to terminate or cancel the Competition at any time, with or without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to lack of sufficient participation, technical failures, or emergencies.

  14. Participant Warranties and Representations

    Participants warrant that their work is original and that they have the right to use and submit all materials and content. Participants must also warrant that their work does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

  15. Compliance with Laws

    Participants are responsible for ensuring their participation is in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations.

  16. Severability

    If any provision of these TOS is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these TOS, which shall remain in full force and effect.
